Kai is a Singapore native who moved to Australia in search of great agtech companies and technologies. He is an experienced start-up founder and technologist who loves to build teams to build interesting stuff. Working at the intersection of software, hardware, machine learning, and controls engineering, he has been involved in the development and deployment of autonomous systems since 2008 spanning self-driving vehicles, material handling robots, intelligent multi-cobot inspection and sorting stations, and memorably enough, the world's first self-distributing e-scooter.
While working on his postgraduate degree in agriculture and the environment at the University of Sydney, Kai was introduced to VensoGrow through Beanstalk Venture Studio. He is convinced that by improving seed coating quality to ensure optimum crop growth and yield, BreezeCoat will help growers around the world cope with the challenges posed by population growth and climate change.
